After a fantastic performance of Monteverdi’s Vespers at last year’s Traversées, La Tempête is back for a temporal and geographical voayage which takes its roots from thousand-year-old Mediterranean societies. The singers mingle with the public, juggle with different timbres, tessitura and languages (12 languages will be sung) offering an exhilirating sound experience.

Prayers, lullabies, dances, songs and invocations form a large, unified vocal ritual which is dedicated to the memories of Jerusalem, mystical and timeless city, in which rings a part of every one of us.

The Caisse des Dépôts is the major patron of La Tempête.
The Company also receives support from the Orange Fondation, the Ministry of Culture and Communication (Drac Nouvelle-Aquitaine), from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, the Corrèze Département and the city of Brive-la-Gaillarde. It has a residency at the Singer-Polignac Foundation, the Théâtre Impérial de Compiègne and collaborates with the Alpha Classics – Outhere Music Label. La Tempête is an administrative member of Fevis and is part of the Profedim syndicate.
Les Voix de Jérusalem is a Festival de Saint-Denis and Cité de la Voix de Vézelay creation
