QUEST OF THE INVISIBLE
ORIGINAL COMPOSITIONS Naïssam Jalal, composition, flute, ney, voice/ Claude Tchamitchian, double bass / Leonardo Montana, piano
In this creation, the franco-syrian flautist Naïssam Jalal and his collaborators have invented a repertoire which is like a voyage tinged with spirituality, located at the edge of non-western mystical traditions and modal jazz. It’s a type of chamber music which swings between contemplation and trance, silence and musical sound.
The eponymous record was awarded the “Unclassifiable Album of the Year” prize at the 2019 Victoires du jazz.
…Naïssam Jalal approaches the river banks of spirituality with a totally involved trio …
A Couleurs du Son/ Tour’n’sol production. “Quest of the Invisible” Album(Victoire du jazz 2019) available at www.naissamjalal.com
DEBUSSY, AMPE, HERVÉ
Cairn Ensemble / directed by Jérôme Combier
A surprising sound system comprising 60 small loudspeakers dispersed throughout the concert area, with six musicians placed in the centre… Music resonates more than ever with the acoustics of the monk’s refectory!
The venue seems to be animated with a multiple sound presence; the fragile and shifting existence of sounds calls us to listen.
Commissioned by the Cairn Ensemble, created with the support of the Francis and Mica Salabert Foundation.
With the support of Spedidam and Adami.
The Cairn Ensemble enjoys a contract with the Ministry of Culture – DRAC Centre-Val de Loire. It is also aided by the Centre-Val de Loire Regional Council as an under-contract Ensemble. It also receives support from the SACEM

Over the evening, the choir will celebrate some of the most beautiful works for choirs, from the Renaissance to the 21st, interpreting Allegri’s famous Miserere, Whitacre’s moving I thank you god, or Harris’ spectacular Faire is the Heaven.
For purity of timbre and faultless intonation, Nigel Short’s Tenebrae Choir is unbeatable.
