Visit by Noirlac’s heritage and nature guides
From prehistorical cave paintings to today, humans have always used colour to brighten up their lives by dyeing cloth, adding colour to objects or creating works of art such as the illuminations made by Cistercian Monks in the abbeys.
Several dyeing methods exist, one is the use of tinctorial plants.
Set off to discover these plants in Noirlac’s bocage farmland with our nature guide.
Which pigments can you find in these plants? What colours do they produce?
What were/are they used for? You will find the answers during the visit.
